Holiday in Paris!
The Holidays are a perfect time to have a dessert party. And why not, it seems like the Holidays are the one time of the year that we give ourselves permissions
to indulge in cakes, cookies, pies, pastries and all the other delights of the season. Looking
for a theme for you’re next Holiday
party? Here’s a fun and fabulous theme for a dessert party – "Holiday of light in the city of lights", a Parisian
Café Party. This type of party is great because it can be as elegant or
casual as you want it to be. Decorate your home with charming French-inspired accents
(See our Boutique for ideas). You can ask guests to bring their favorite dessert, bake your own sweet specialties or find almost everything
you'll need for your menu at the store. Simply pickup some great coffee, some
flavored liquors, make some cocoa for the designated drivers and present a variety of sweets, fruits, and cheeses to your
guests. You can also find delicious free recipes and other menu ideas here.

What's "the 12 days of Christmas"?
“...and a Partridge in a Pear Tree!” These whimsical and often heart-warming words are at the end of one of the most recognized holiday songs
– but what are the 12 days of Christmas? In recent years people have come to
think of the “12 days of Christmas” as the 12 days prior to Christmas day. This is due mostly to a lot of clever and very effective marketing from retailers –
but it’s not true. The Real
12 days of Christmas refer to the 12 days between Dec 25th (representing the birth of Christ) and the 6th
of Jan (the arrival of the 3 Wisemen). Although most people think that the events
occurred on the same night, it’s said that the journey took 12 days. Yes, Christmas
technically ends on Jan 6th. Today, thanks to the gifts offered to
the Christ child by the Wisemen, give presents but only on Christmas day or in some cases on Christmas Eve. However, in the past during these 12 days of Christmas gifts were exchanged on each day.
